A Solution for Every Type of Hair Loss Condition

At  Hair Solutions Centers, we understand that solving a hair loss condition is not a “one size fits all” affair.  Each individual has his or her own unique hair loss condition.  That is why our  Hair Solution Centers hair replacement studio provides several different types of hair loss treatments.

When you schedule a FREE consultation, you will meet with one of our expert hair loss consultants who will evaluate your hair loss condition and advise you as to the appropriate hair loss solution that will solve your hair loss situation.

Our state-of-the-art nonsurgical hair replacement solutions are available for men, women and children who suffer from hair loss.  We currently offer the following hair loss treatments in our Fresno hair replacement studio:

Hair Loss Shampoo

Certain shampoos may serve as useful hair loss solutions.  Nizoral is one well-known shampoo, originally sold for its anti-dandruff properties.  However, Nizoral’s active ingredient, ketoconazole, may be beneficial to men experiencing hair loss.  One study found that Nizoral increased hair density as well as the size and proportion of anagen follicles.  Nizoral shampoo can be used 1-3 times per week.
Another successful hair loss shampoo is that in the Hair Cycle line of products.  Hair Cycle Shampoo is physician-formulated and indicated for everyday use.  This shampoo is made of all-natural ingredients and therefore extremely gentle to the hair and scalp.  Hair Cycle Shampoo eliminates sebum build-up in the hair follicle while infusing the scalp with biotin and essential proteins.  This shampoo also contains DHT-inhibitors which fight hair loss.
Vitamins for Hair Loss
Although vitamins cannot be touted as stand-alone hair loss solutions, certain vitamins may be beneficial to individuals suffering from hair loss.  The following is a list of vitamins/supplemants and their potential benefits:
•    B Vitamins (particularly B3, B5, B6) - important for hair growth
•    Biotin – important for hair health
•    Essential fatty acids (i.e. flaxseed oil, primrose oil, and salmon oil) - improves hair texture and prevents dry, brittle hair

Hair Restoration Surgery

The only permanent hair loss solution is hair restoration surgery.  This involves the transfer of hair follicles from permanent zones, of the scalp or body, to thinning or balding areas (the recipient site).  Hair on the back and sides of the head is said to be donor dominant, meaning that it will continue to grow throughout the life of most men.  This hair can be safely transplanted and will continue to grow as if it were native to the recipient area.
Hair restoration surgery can be a great hair loss solution for some men but, because the results are permanent, it is something that should be researched and considered thoroughly before jumping in

Accord ing Johns Hopk
ins, there are 6 simple reasons for thinning hair and hair loss in both men and women. The good news is that many hair loss conditions can be treated and prevented. There are many reasons you may find your hair thinning or falling out that can be resolved by your doctor and successfully treated. According to a recent article by Dr. Howard Levy, M.D. from Johns Hopkins, the main causes of thinning hair for both men and women are normal, common, and easy enough to diagnose and, perhaps, even treat successfully.

Q: How do you treat your hair on a daily basis?

Tight ponytails and headbands, chemical hair treatments, improper use of heated styling tools can all cause breakage, called local trauma. Discuss your daily regimens with your hairstylist who can identify local trauma by the patterns of breakage and teach you how to avoid and correct the problem. If they can’t help you, they will refer you to a physician or dermatologist who can.

Q: Are you currently taking any medications?

Many medicines have a side-effect of hair loss, with steroids and chemotherapy the most obvious culprits among a very long list. Check with your physician if you notice hair loss, especially when starting a new medication regimen.

Q: Do you feel completely stressed-out?

Stress can affect your hair the same way it affects other major organs like the heart. Physical traumas as well as mental traumas can cause hair loss and thinning and many times cause hair problems three to six months after a traumatic event has occurred. Try to identify if this is the case or if your life is just too busy and try to make some changes.
